15-year-old girl tells Englewood Police that 2 men tried to kidnap her in Cornerstone Park

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - A 15-year-old girl escaped two men who tried to kidnap her in Cornerstone Park on Friday, according to Englewood Police.

The park is near Belleview Avenue and Windermere Road, next to a miniature golf course and across the street from a water park.

The teen told police she was in the grassy area in the northwest corner of the park, around noon, when two men grabbed her from behind.

She told police she fought the men off.

According to police radio traffic, she had scratches on her arms.

She told police the two men ran into a newer black pickup truck and took off on Windermere Road toward Belleview Avenue. The truck may have had an extended cab.

The teen gave police descriptions of both attackers:

Suspect 1:

-Hispanic man between 45-50 years old

-Approximately 5 feet 11

-Medium build

-Brown short hair

-Mustache and long sideburns.

She said he was wearing a black long sleeve shirt and black pants.

Suspect 2:

-Hispanic man between 45-50 years old

-Approximately 5 feet 9

-Medium build

-Brown eyes

-Brown short hair and long sideburns.

She said he was wearing a sky blue long sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes.
