DENVER - A woman was wounded during a shooting in the Montbello neighborhood in Denver Tuesday night.
It happened in the 14400 block of of Maxwell Place, near East 53rd Avenue and Chamber Road. Police were seen in a second location nearby, but it is not clear if it is connected to the shooting.
Neighbors told Denver7 that the victim was shot in the face after leaving her home to investigate gunfire between two rival groups. The victims is expected to survive.
Neighbors say a police HALO camera was installed last week at the intersection because of recent shootings in the area.
Police did not say if a suspect or suspects were in custody.
