1 killed, 1 injured in two-vehicle crash in Franktown

FRANKTOWN, Colo - One person was killed and other injured in a two-vehicle crash in Douglas County on Friday night, the Colorado State Patrol said.

At about 7:20 pm., the State Patrol received a call about a crash at Highway 83 and Highway 86 in Franktown, said State Patrol spokesman Trooper Josh Lewis.

Troopers arrived to find one person was dead and an injured person had to be transported with non-life threatening injuries to the hospital, Lewis said.

There were no immediate details on the age or gender of either person in the crash.

The crash vehicles were a 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck and a 1995 Plymouth sedan.

The wreck forced the closure of both highways.
