DENVER – One person is in jail and another is in the hospital after a shooting late Monday at an apartment complex in southern Denver.
The shooting took place on East Florida Avenue near the intersection of Parker Road and Havana just before midnight.
Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies said they were in the area on another call when they heard gunshots.
When they got to the apartment complex, deputies found a man in a car with gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to the hospital; an update on his condition wasn’t immediately available.
Deputies said the shooter turned himself in. Neither the suspect nor the victim have been identified.
