Police investigate shooting in Capitol Hill area of Denver; 1 man shot in shoulder

DENVER - Denver police say they are investigating a shooting Friday evening that left one person injured in the Capitol Hill area.  

At about 4 p.m., a man was transported to an area hospital from Clarkson and Park Ave West, according to the Denver Police Department. 

Police said he suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder and flagged someone down for help.

However, Clarkson and Park Avenue wasn't the site of the shooting.

The incident started as a shooting between vehicles at Martin Luther King Jr. and Colorado Boulevards, polcie said.

No further details were provided.
