JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- A DUI crash after a birthday celebration took the life of one person and left two others injured.
The driver's car landed upside down in the water in Clear Creek Canyon near mile marker 268 between Golden and Highway 119 around 10:30 p.m Sunday.
The Colorado State Patrol said the crash was the result of "alcohol-fueled birthday celebration+excessive speed gone horribly wrong."
