Laptop Burning Prompts Warning Call To Neighbors

More than three dozen people in a Golden neighborhood were warned to stay inside their homes on Monday morning because of an odd smell coming from a man's home.When police officers arrived at the home on Mt. Zion and Goldenvue drives around 7 a.m. they saw smoke and smelled gas, according to public information officer Karlyn Tilley.When officers contacted the resident, they determined a man in his mid-20s was burning his laptop in the fireplace.Officials said the man was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation, but they didn't go into further detail.
