Chain-Reaction Accident Blocks NB Lanes Near Highway 7

A heavy downpour may be to blame for a 23-vehicle accident on northbound Interstate 25 near Colorado Highway 7.
Wreckers work quickly to remove wrecked vehicles from the northbound lanes of Interstate 25.
Three motorists were injured in the chain reaction pile-up that happened at about 3:30 p.m. as a heavy thunderstorm moved through the area.The Colorado State Patrol said the injuries appear to be minor.A group of about 23 vehicles smashed into one another, and tow truck drivers were working to try and remove the wreckage as quickly as possible.By 5 p.m., the wrecked vehicles were moved to the shoulder of highway, but northbound traffic was backed up for miles.
