A judge has issued a gag order in the investigation of dismembered body parts found in concrete-filled buckets near Cortez.
Montezuma County Court Judge Todd Plewe issued the order Tuesday barring authorities from discussing the case publicly. The Cortez Journal says Plewe refused to release a copy of the order.
Jeremiah Raymond Berry, 20, was arrested last week on suspicion of murder after the body parts were found. Bail was set at $500,000. It's not known whether he has an attorney.
Authorities say Berry's father, 42-year-old Jack Berry, is missing. Investigators had not announced before the gag order was issued if they had determined whether the body was the father's.
Cortez is about 250 miles southwest of Denver.
