Caught on Camera: Crook tries to ram stolen car through front door of gun shop in Wheat Ridge

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo/ - Wheat Ridge police are trying to identify an attempted burglar who unsuccessfully tried to ram a stolen car through the doors of a gun shop last week.

The attempted break-in, captured by a surveillance video camera, happened about 12:53 a.m. on June 5 at Hammer Down Firearms, located at 4550 Wadsworth Blvd. in Wheat Ridge. 

The video shows the crook make three attempts to ram the vehicle through the store's front double-doors. An opening was created between the twin doors, but the frustrated burglar gave up and took off in a second vehicle, leaving behind the car that had been stolen in Denver.
