Westminster juveniles found safe by Denver Police officers

Mom says juveniles disappeared after trip to Zoo

WESTMINSTER, Colo. - Two Westminster juveniles who were reported missing after not coming back home from a trip to the Denver Zoo have been found safe, according to officers with the Westminster Police Department. 

Tziah Thornton, 17, and his younger brother Ziare Mackey, 4, left their home at 7161 Grove Way at noon Saturday. Their mother said Tziah was supposed to be taking Ziare to the Denver Zoo and be back home by 8 p.m., but she never heard back from them, prompting her to call police.  

Westminster Police were called at approximately 12:30 a.m. and two detectives were immediately called-in to pursue any leads.

On Valentine's Day, the two juveniles were found by Denver Police in the area of 11th and Broadway. 

There is no crime and no charges are being pursued based on information available at this time.
