Lea Porter disappearance: Murder, sexual assault, other charges filed against Christopher Waide

WESTMINSTER, Colo. - While police have not yet found the body of a missing woman, the district attorney has filed formal charges against the last man to see her, Christopher Adam Waide.

Lea Porter, 19, was reported missing June 5. Porter was from Pueblo. Investigators said she came to Westminster to visit Waide, an old friend from high school.

However, Porter's boyfriend, Jesse Mine, disputes that. He says they barely knew each other and that Porter only went to Waide's place to pass some time before meeting another friend.

Her car was found abandoned at Waide's apartment building.

Mine says he and Porter's brother confronted Waide and got him to confess to killing Porter. Mine says he recorded the confession, called police, then held Waide until officer's arrived.

Waide was questioned, then arrested June 12.

Police say Waide is cooperating, but authorities have not yet found Porter's body.
