Convenience store cameras record 'person of interest' in Thornton car and garage trespasses

THORNTON, Colo. - Convenience store surveillance cameras recorded images Friday morning of a woman called a "person of interest" in a series of trespasses and burglaries in Thornton.

The six incidents reported so far in Thornton occurred early Friday morning in the area of 136th Ave and Colorado Boulevard, according to Thornton Police Department spokesman Sergeant Matt Kandt. Unlocked cars, including some parked in open garages, were opened and at least one credit card was stolen from a purse inside one of the vehicles.

Kandt said the credit card was later used at the convenience store.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the series of trespasses is asked to call the Thornton Police Department's tip line at 720-977-5069.
