LOVELAND, Colo. - Loveland police have released a sketch of a male driver who offered a ride to a 9-year-old girl who was playing outside her home on Tuesday afternoon.
Police released the sketch Friday in what's being called a "suspicious incident."
Police said a father called 911 about 4 p.m. Tuesday and reported that a man in a green sedan had offered his daughter a ride outside their home in the 200 block of Scene Drive. The girl told the man she didn't want a ride and ran inside to tell her father.
By the time her dad went outside, the man was gone, police said.
The man's green sedan, which was possibly a Cadillac, had a lot of mud on it, police said. There was a small girl in a car seat in the back of the car, the 9 year old told police.
The driver, who police called a person of interest, is described as a heavy-set Hispanic man in his thirties with a goatee. He had a hoop earring in the top of his right ear.
Loveland police ask anyone has information about this case to call Detective Henry Stucky at 970-962-2249. People who wish to remain anonymous can provide tips to Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
