DENVER - A man who worked his way up from pizza delivery man to Domino's franchise owner has been elected as the new Colorado House Minority Leader.
State Rep. Brian DelGrosso (R) will succeed Rep. Mark Waller. Waller stepped down from the leadership position to run for Colorado Attorney General.
"Brian is a tried and tested leader in the legislative process," Waller said.
"I am both humbled an honored that my colleagues have entrusted me with this new role," DelGrosso, of Loveland, said.
DelGrosso was born and raised in Cheyenne. He moved to Colorado after serving in the Air Force and the Wyoming National Guard.
DelGrosso delivered pizzas for a local Domino’s Pizza and eventually turned that part-time job into a full-time career. DelGrosso now owns three Domino’s Pizza franchises in the Windsor and Loveland area.
He joined the legislature in 2009.
