A Larimer County Sheriff's Office sergeant rescued a kidnapped woman early Saturday morning during a traffic stop.

"Mia was unharmed and is now safe," Larimer County sheriff Justin Smith posted on his Facebook page.

Mia Hamilton, 30, was kidnapped around 6:24 a.m. on Friday morning.

A witness called 911 after seeing a woman being kidnapped from the parking lot of the Budget Host Motel on Frontage Road in Loveland.

The caller said the woman was pulled into a 1980s-1990s era, dark green, Chrysler minivan by several men. The van had silver trim, gray running boards and a black luggage rack on top.

The Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Hamilton.

Smith's Facebook post said Hamilton was located shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday when a sergeant stopped a vehicle in Loveland.

An adult man in the vehicle was taken into custody on allegations of kidnapping and robbery.

The suspect's name was not released.

"The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation," officials said.
