LONGMONT, Colo. -- A GoFundMe page created for the toddler who lost her parents in a crash on Interstate 25 has raised nearly $23,000.

Teachers Jared and Genevieve Sommervold were on their way home from dinner last Friday night when their Lexus SUV swerved, overcorrected and rolled. Jared and Genevieve were killed, their 2-year-old old daughter Aurelia survived.

"She just had a few tiny little bruises and one little scratch,” Kathryn Arnold, Genevieve’s sister, said of Aurelia’s injuries from the crash. “Her guardian angel was flying real close."

"I'm sad that she's going to grow up without parents, but we have a wonderful family," Travis Sommervold, Jared’s brother, said. “And I look forward to every day that I get with her because she's awesome. She's a blessing."

The GoFundMe accountwas created to pay for Aurelia's schooling and any other needs she may have. The goal of the account is to raise $50,000.

Jared was a science teacher and coach at Longmont High School. Genevieve taught science at Fort Collins High School, officials from both schools confirmed with Denver7.
