LONGMONT, Colo. -- A bear managed to make it from the foothills, past three highways, to a farm in Longmont on Wednesday.

The bear apparently crossed or went under U.S. 36, Highway 119 and Highway 287 to make it to a tree at Sunflower Farm, south of Longmont, near Highway 287 and Prospect Road.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife District Manager Chris Mettenbrink told the Longmont Times-Call the bear weighed between 150 and 200 pounds.

The bear was monitored throughout the day Wednesday.

The newspaper reported that a bear also visited the farm in 2013.
