McDonnell Park assault suspect sketch based on description by victim who was able to escape

Suspect is white man, age 25-35

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Detectives worked with an assault victim to generate a sketch of the man who attacked her in McDonnell Park last month.

The woman was grabbed from behind and forced to the ground at about 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 11, Lakewood Police said. She was able to get away and run to a nearby home.

Police say the victim described the suspect as a white man between 25 and 35 years of age. He was 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and weighed between 160 and 180 pounds. She also said he had dark hair, was "well-kept and smelling clean."

He wore a gray hoodie with the hood up and white shoes.

Anyone who may know the suspect in the sketch is asked to call Lakewood Police Detective Turnbull at 303-987-7217.
