Bank robber hands note to teller at U.S. Bank inside a Lakewood King Soopers, walks out with cash

Suspect claimed to be armed

LAKEWOOD - A man who claimed to be armed demanded cash from a bank teller in Lakewood, and got away with the cash.

The suspect passed a note to the teller at a U.S. Bank branch inside the King Soopers store at 1927 S. Wadsworth Blvd. According to Sgt. Randy McNitt of the Lakewood Police Department, the note demanded money and indicated the man was armed.

No weapon was actually seen by the teller, but the teller did hand over some cash.

The suspect was photographed by surveillance equipment. He is an Asian male in his twenties or thirties. He was wearing a light grey ski jacket and a baseball cap with the letters "USA" on the front. He is about 5-foot-4 and weighs approximately 140 pounds.
