GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. - Trader Joe's plans to open a third Colorado location, this time in Greenwood Village.
According to our partners at the Denver Post, the California-based specialty grocery chain with a huge and enthusiastic fan base has signed a lease at the Cherry Hills Marketplace, 5910 S. University Blvd. at the intersection of East Orchard Road.
The Greenwood Village store is scheduled to open in 2014, Trader Joe's spokeswoman Alison Mochizuki said Monday.
Trader Joe's has its first two Colorado stores under construction -- at East Eighth Avenue and Colorado Boulevard in Denver and at Boulder's Twenty Ninth Street mall. Those two stores also will open in 2014, Mochizuki said.
The new 10,000-square-foot store is likely to locate in one of two vacant spaces at the Cherry Hills Marketplace -- locations previously occupied by Old Navy and Two Mile Ranch Market.
