GOLDEN, Colo. - Jefferson County sheriff's investigators are seeking the public's help in a identifying a woman suspected of stealing mail in Golden and then fraudulently cashing a check.
Authorities on Friday released bank surveillance photos of the woman, who's also suspected of committing other crimes in the metro Denver area, said sheriff's spokesman Mark Techmeyer.
The surveillance photos show a woman with a pink pin in her brown hair smiling as she cashes the stolen check at a Wells Fargo bank in Englewood, Techmeyer said.
The check was among mail stolen from a residential mail box in the 14000 block of West Cedar Avenue in Golden on June 23.
If anyone recognizes the woman in the photos, they are asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office tip line at 303-271-5612.
