FORT COLLINS, Colo. - A series of eight small fires appear to have been set purposely in Fort Collins, the Coloradoan reports.

The newspaper reported that the fires were set in a field along Mulberry Street east of the city and are being treated as suspicious by the Poudre Fire Authority. The fires were extinguished just before 9 p.m. Sunday.

The fire burned less than an acre and caused no damage or injuries, Capt. Patrick Love told the newspaper.
