FORT COLLINS - A high level school district administrator in Fort Collins is off the job following a series of 7NEWS investigations.
Poudre School District Spokeswoman Danielle Clark tells 7NEWS Chuck DeWayne, the Executive Director of Human Resources, was placed on paid-administrative leave effective Wednesday.
The district would not say why DeWayne was placed on leave citing employee privacy and personnel laws.
7NEWS first exposed DeWayne's business plan, sent on his district email account, which outlined his plans to leverage his position within the district to personally profit through a direct-sales coffee and tea business.
DeWayne is a recognized member of the organization called Organo Gold.
7NEWS also spoke with a school district employee about the business. She came forward after our first report about DeWayne and said another supervisor had invited her to attend an off-campus pitch for Organo Gold.
To date, Clark said she is not aware of any other district employees on paid-administrative leave.
