FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Homeless people in Fort Collins are getting a boost from a bike repair shop in an effort to get them free, reliable transportation as part of an effort to help them find jobs.

Charity organizations are asking people to donate their time and old bicycles to the effort.

According to the Fort Collins Coloradoan, the makeshift bicycle repair shop fixes about a dozen bikes a week.

Homeless people like Clay Taylor say the bikes help people get to more places around town and they make them more productive.
