Heavy snow collapses roof of Fort Collins Discount Tire store overnight; no injuries

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The roof of a Discount Tire store in Fort Collins collapsed Wednesday night under the weight of three days of heavy spring snowfall.

"We’re thankful nobody was hurt," store manager Kenny Burkhard told the Coloradoan newspaper.

Yellow tape surrounded the store at 1751 South College Avenue on Thursday after authorities decided it too was dangerous for people to enter the building, the newspaper reported.

Burkhard said he doesn’t know when the location will reopen.
