1st suspect surrenders for shooting at Platinum 84 Gentleman's Club in Federal Heights

FEDERAL HEIGHTS, Colo. - The suspect believed to have opened fire outside a Federal Heights strip club early Wednesday morning surrendered to police Thursday morning.

Eray Wilson, 22, turned himself in around 1 a.m., Federal Heights Police Department Spokesman Lt. Gary Toldness announced. Wilson is one of three suspects police were seeking, but Toldness said Wilson is believed to have been the shooter.

The two other suspects may also surrender on Thursday, Toldness said. Their names were withheld.

"You know, it worked out pretty well. We no longer need the public's help. This is a random event and we have no concern for the public or community at this time," Toldness said.

Police said there were only a handful of customers inside Platinum 84 Gentleman's Club on Umatilla Street around 1:45 a.m. when there was an argument or altercation outside.

Two victims were shot in the altercation, one in the hip and the other in the chest.

Wilson invoked his right to an attorney and so far, Toldness said, investigators have not been able to interview him.
