DENVER -- A would-be porch pirate was the victim of a homeowner's prank when the suspect tried to steal mail from outside a home in east Denver.
The homeowner in the Montclair neighborhood tied a bungie cord to a package, but the would-be thief doesn't know this has happened and takes the bait.
Surveillance video shows the suspected porch pirate pull the package from the floor, only to have it yanked from his hands.
He then runs off from the scene.
The homeowner told Denver7 he filed a police report, but the suspect has not been found.
