DENVER - Denver police say the report of a woman kidnapped in broad daylight, in the middle of the afternoon on Valentine's Day didn't happen.
Last month, the woman told police a van pulled up to the corner of E. Hampden Ave. and S. Yosemite St. on February 14 and the men inside solicited her for sex. The victim told police that when she refused, the men forcibly kidnapped her, but she managed to escape.
"Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined there is no danger or threat to the community regarding this incident," Denver police said Tuesday.
When asked for more information, officials said, "After further investigation, the report was determined to be unfounded (the incident didn't occur)."
Denver police have not yet said if the woman will face charges.
