Suspicious package found at Denver Federal Center, bomb squad responding

DENVER – A bomb squad from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a suspicious package at the Denver Federal Center Friday afternoon.

West Metro Fire Rescue is assisting the bomb squad, according to West Metro Fire Rescue spokesperson Rhonda Sholting.

The Denver Federal Center is part of the General Services Administration and is home to about 6,200 employees for many federal government agencies in the U.S.
