Suspect sketch released in shooting death of Airman Shaquille Hargrove in LoDo

DENVER - Denver police have released a sketch of a suspect in the shooting death of a 19-year-old Airman in LoDo last weekend.

Police said a gunman opened fire after a large fight about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of 15th St.  Airman 1st Class Shaquille Hargrove was shot in the chest and died later at Denver Health Medical Center.

Hargrove, of Wilson, N.C., was a 2nd Space Warning Squadron satellite systems operator at Buckley Air Force Base.

Witnesses helped police develop the suspect sketch released on Tuesday. The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man with facial acne in his 20s. He is about 5-feet-7 and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds. Police said the suspect wore wire-rim glasses and had his hair in tightly woven braids under a do-rag.
