DENVER - A woman from Broomfield was identified Tuesday as the victim killed in a collision involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 25.
Jennifer Friede, 34, died after being transported to Denver Health Medical Center following the crash. The Denver Medical Examiner found her cause of death was multiple injuries.
Friede was the passenger in a car that was northbound in the HOV lane on I-25 near Park Avenue early Saturday morning. Police say Rebecca Maez, 27, was driving her car southbound in those same lanes, causing the crash.
Maez was arrested after being released from the hospital Sunday. She faces charges of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.
