Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place at the Montbello shopping center, Saturday night.
The shooting, which was reported near the Montbello Shopping Center Park and Ride in the area of Albrook Drive and Peoria Street, happened at around 5 p.m., said Nate Currey with the Regional Transportation District.
An RTD bus passenger was shot after he had exited the bus in the Montbello neighborhood, according to Currey.
Currey said a 25-year-old man got off the bus and made it 30 feet away before he was shot. The shooting victim tried to crawl back to the bus, but died at the scene, Currey added.
Police told Denver7 reporter, Kyle Horan, they are questioning multiple witnesses and are reviewing all of the surveillance cameras of the nearby businesses.
