DENVER - A postal worker was robbed at knifepoint in east Denver on Monday afternoon.
The postal carrier was robbed by two men while delivering mail about 2:55 p.m. near East 22nd Avenue and Oneida Street, U.S. Postal Inspector Pamela Durkey told 7NEWS.
The two robbers were armed with at least one knife, Durkey said.
One robber kept the worker busy while the second robber stole items from the back of a mail truck, Durkey said.
The robber who entered the truck was described as a black man wearing a gray or beige hoodie and matching sweat pants. The other robber was described as a black man wearing a dark hoodie.
Both suspects fled in a black GMC Yukon sport utility vehicle.
The U.S. Postal Service is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robbers.
