DENVER - Denver police are trying to identify a gunman who robbed the popular Bonnie Brae Ice Cream shop last week.

A black man with a gun robbed the ice cream shop at 799 S. University Blvd. at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Police on Tuesday released surveillance camera photographs of the robber, who was last seen wearing a gray-and-black striped sweatshirt, a black knit cap and blue jeans.

A $2,000 Crime Stoppers reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and charging of the man sought in this case.

Police say anyone who has information about the crime can anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867; or you can text CRIMES (274637) with the subject title DMCS and enter the message; or email metro-denvercrimestoppers.com.
