DENVER - A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in northwest Denver Tuesday night, police said.

The collision happened about 7:30 p.m. at West 44th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, White said.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, said Denver police spokesman Detective John White. The person's condition and injuries were not known.

The driver stopped and is cooperating with police, White said.

Westbound Federal lanes and southbound 44th lanes were closed during the police investigation.
