DENVER - The murderer who pleaded guilty in a 2011 Denver cold case will spend the next 30 years in prison.
Alfred Flores, 41, was sentenced Thursday in Denver. He had pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of Manuel Martinez, 27, sometime late on Nov. 26, 2011 or early on Nov. 27, 2011.
The two had been in a fight.
Flores admitted responsibility for shooting Martinez in the head and ditching his body on the road in the 2200 block of South Platte River Drive. It was found a few hours later.
