DENVER – If a stern warning won’t get people to listen, perhaps some sassiness will do the trick.
And that’s exactly what the Colorado State Patrol did Wednesday evening – it got real sassy, real fast to make sure people stayed off icy roads in northern Colorado.
The first tweet warned drivers there was no prize in trying to skate with your car on the highway.
Northern CO is an ice rink and your car doesn't have skates. PLEASE stay off the roads!

The second tweet showed drivers it’s OK to change your mind.

The third tweet is perhaps the best advice anyone hopes to hear from an authority figure.
Ice gets worse before it gets better. Plan your commute for tomorrow NOW: plan extra time, or consider ::cough cough:: a sick day. Seriously
