Following years of anticipation, the Westin Denver International Airport hotel and conference center is nearly ready to open on Nov. 19 – but the public was invited to take an early look inside first.
The hotel and the public plaza was open to the public for a special preview event on Sunday.
The sneak peek of the hotel included views from the pool and fitness center, the Sky Lobby and the pre-function conference area. Outside on the public plaza, there was live entertainment, games, food vendors and even a temporary art gallery showcasing the project’s world-class art pieces, according to Heath Montgomery, DIA spokesman.
“We know that travelers have seen the hotel rise from the ground for the last three years, and we are delighted to finally offer a sneak preview of the equally beautiful interior of this landmark project,” said airport CEO Kim Day. “This special preview event is our way of thanking the community we serve for their support and patience throughout the construction process and to showcase the offerings of this amazing facility.”
