Stolen Denver Police vehicle recovered, suspect arrested
May contain an officer's ID or badge, police say

DENVER - An unmarked vehicle belonging to the Denver Police Department that was stolen Friday while parked near the intersection of 21st and Decatur, close to the headquarters of the Denver Police Protective Association, has been recovered.
The vehicle was spotted near 14th Avenue and Lipan Street and police followed the vehicle to an alley between the King and Knox, in the 1100 block. Police took the driver into custody for questioning.
Police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez said the vehicle did not contain any weapons, but did contain personal items that could have included an officer's ID or badge.
The vehicle was taken around 11:45 a.m. and found around 2:30 p.m.
