Denver Police release sketch of sex assault suspect

DENVER - Denver Police hope someone will recognize the sexual assault suspect depicted in a newly-released sketch.

Investigators say he victimized a woman at approximately 2 a.m. on August 17. She exited a bar in the area of E. Colfax Ave. and N. Logan St. and was approached by the man after walking a few blocks.

"The suspect pulled the victim into an alley, struck her in the head and sexually assaulted her," police wrote.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his thirties or forties. He was approximately 6-feet tall with a prominent belly. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a blue shirt and blue bandana around his head.
