DENVER - Denver International Airport's Jeppesen Terminal East drop-off area will be closed for 30 hours from Friday through Sunday this weekend.
The closure began at 10 p.m. Friday.
During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Level 4 for both pick-up and drop-off at Terminal East. All vehicles more than eight feet in height must use Terminal West during the closure.
DIA says the closure will be used to pour the final piece of concrete connecting the new elevated roadway to the Terminal East Level 6 passenger drop-off area. Drivers and air travelers are warned to expect delays during the work and especially on August 23.
"Once the concrete is set, we will open the bridge and our disruptions to traffic on the east side of Jeppesen Terminal will essentially be complete," said program manager Stu Williams, in a statement provided by DIA.
Airlines located on Terminal East include AirTran, Alaska Air, Delta, Frontier, Great Lakes, JetBlue, Southwest and Spirit Airlines.
