DENVER, Colo. - Although an autopsy is now complete, the cause of a death discovered in Green Valley Ranch earlier this week is still pending further investigation.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the woman as Dennielle Perez, 35. She was found dead in her home at 19400 E. 45th Ave. in Denver Wednesday afternoon.
The examiner's news release says, "An autopsy has been performed to determine the cause and manner of death. The cause and manner of death is pending further investigation at this time."
Thursday, Denver Police said homicide detectives were investigating the death but the department did not call it a homicide. Crime scene tape remained on the door of the home.
People who live near the home on the corner of 45th Avenue and Ensenada Street said the victim lived there with her husband, and that they had seen police at the house in the past.
Denver Police Department Records Coordinator Mary Dulacki declined to release any details about prior police calls to the address "to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation."
