Denver police say bank robber brandishing gun fires shot, no one hurt at bank in Lowry area

DPD: Suspect fled in a gold vehicle

DENVER - Denver police say a bank robber brandishing a gun fired a shot on Monday afternoon, but no one was injured inside the Community Banks of Colorado in the Lowry neighborhood.

The robbery happened before 3 p.m. at 7900 E. 1st Ave.

Police said they are searching for the gunman, who fled the scene in a gold-colored vehicle. The suspect was described as a black man who was about 5-feet-8-inches tall.

A 7NEWS photographer on the scene found several police vehicles parked outside of the Community Banks of Colorado location.
