A Centennial teen was arrested in connection to a crash that left two people dead and shut down a section of Colorado Boulevard for hours on Friday.

Taden Jones, 18, was arrested and booked at the Arapahoe County Detention Facility for two counts of vehicular homicide, and one count each of DUI, reckless driving and possession of a forged instrument.

Jones was allegedly driving near South Colorado Boulevard and East Peakview Circle, when he crashed with another vehicle at around 3:40 p.m. A woman was ejected in the crash and died at the scene. A second woman inside the same vehicle was taken to a hospital and died later as a result of her injuries.

One adult male passenger in the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Jones and one other passenger were not taken to a hospital, according to a statement from the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office.

Jones' bond was set at $50,000.

While an arrest has been made, deputies do still have additional investigation to complete. The road was closed for four hours and reopened at about 7:35 p.m.
