A former math and music teacher faces a dozen charges, including several counts relating to child pornography, in two separate Douglas County cases.

Jeffrey Joseph Falk, 51, taught math at ThunderRidge High School for 19 years until he retired in July 2014, said Paul Hans, spokeswoman for the Douglas County School District.

In the first case, Falk has been charged with seven felonies and one misdemeanor:

  2. Sexual Exploitation/child-sell/publish (Felony)
  3. Burglary (2nd-degree) of Dwelling (Felony)

  7. Stalking-emotional Distress (Felony)
  8. Computer Crime-unauthorized Access (Misdemeanor)

"During the course of their investigation detectives located an additional victim," wrote Sgt. Lori Bronner, with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Falk was initially arrested on Sept. 21, but he was briefly released on bond, according to court records.

He was re-arrested Sunday on a second case and faces four other allegations, according to Michelle Yi, spokeswoman for the District Attorney's Office. Those arrest-only charges are:

  1. Sexual Exploitation/child-induce/entice (Felony)
  2. Sex Exploit Child-video/20+ Items (Felony)
  3. Stalking-threat & Follow/contact/surveil (Felony)

Yi said Falk is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning for the filing of formal charges in the latest case. Falk is also scheduled to return court to on Oct. 15 for a hearing related to his first case.

Falk remained in Douglas County Jail Tuesday with bond set at $500,000, according to the jail website.

Sources tell 7NEWS he was a teacher at ThunderRidge High School and Colorado records show Falk holds a valid teaching license — No. 41101 — with endorsements for music and mathematics.
