CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - Some water customers called the town of Castle Rock Monday to complain that their water was yellow.
Town officials quickly tweeted out that the water was safe.
"We have been responding to calls about yellow-colored water. Water is safe to drink," Castle Rock tweeted.
Town officials said water crews flushed the system.
They tweeted that the color was caused by natural materials, like manganese & iron, on pipe walls, which can get in the water.
Town officials said if customers see yellow water again, they should call Castle Rock Water at 720-733-6000.
