Broomfield Subway armed robbery suspect asked for change, demanded more

BROOMFIELD, Colo. - After asking for change at a Subway restaurant in Broomfield, a robbery suspect pulled out a handgun as an employee tried to help.

Broomfield Police say the suspect asked for change around 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Subway at 555 HWY 287 Unit #7. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect pulled out the weapon and demanded the money.

The clerk refused and the suspect ran from the restaurant, police say.

The suspect is described as a white male, wearing a dark blue ball cap and dark blue jacket.
