BRIGHTON, Colo. - Three people suffered minor injuries Monday afternoon when a male driver passed out from a medical condition and hit five cars parked outside Brighton High School, police said.

The incident happened about 4 p.m. when a man driving north on South 8th Avenue had a medical episode and passed out. His vehicle hit five parked cars, two of which were occupied, said Brighton police spokesman John Bradley.

Three people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, including the male driver who passed out, his woman passenger and a woman who was sitting in one of the parked cars, Bradley said.

Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, Bradley said. The investigation into the cause of the wreck is ongoing.
