Car fire spreads to other vehicles and structures

BRIGHTON, Colo. - A car fire spread to two other vehicles, a carport and a garage in a Brighton apartment complex Monday morning.
According to Mark Bodane, chief of the Brighton Fire Department, the fire was first reported near 70 W. Bridge St. around 10:46 a.m. It started with one vehicle and spread to the structures and other vehicles from there.
The heat also caused some damage on the exterior of a nearby Kum and Go gas station, Bodane said.
Bodane said the fire was under control by 11:20 a.m.
